Javier Bosques is a visual artist with a multidisciplinary practice exploring concepts related to time perception, memory and its construction of narratives.

Bosques received a BFA from Cooper Union in 2008. He attended UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television graduating from the film directing program with an MFA in 2015. Bosques has participated in multiple residency programs, including Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2008, Davidoff Art Initiative Red Gate residency in Beijing in 2018, and The Studios at MASS MoCA in 2019. Bosques artwork has been curated into historical exhibitions including Caribbean Crossroads of the World at PAMM (MIA 2014), Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA Video Art in Latin America at LAX (LA 2017) and more recently Entreformas: La Abstracción Puertorriqueña at Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico (SJ 2021). Bosques has exhibited at international art institutions, including Centro de Desarrollo de las Artes Visuales in La Habana Cuba; Palais de Tokyo in Paris; Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art in Chicago; Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia; Proyecto Siqueiros in Cuernavaca México; Museo de Arte y Diseño Contemporáneo in San José Costa Rica; and Kunsthalle Zürich in Switzerland.

Javier Bosques lives and works in Río Grande, Puerto Rico.
